ACT! 2008 Minimum System Requirements  

Client Workstation - Desktops or laptops

Operating Systems: Microsoft® Windows® XP Home (Service Pack 2), XP Professional (Service Pack 2), Windows Vista. Microsoft Windows 2000 and earlier not supported.

• Minimum Pentium 4 (or equivalent) processor  We recommend Pentium 4 - 2.8 Ghz + processor
• Minimum 768 MB RAM - We recommend 1 GB of RAM
• Minimum 500 MB of available hard disk space.  We recommend 7200 RPM Serial ATA Drives
• CD-ROM drive
• SVGA (800x600) or higher resolution monitor
• Office 2002 or newer for Word/Outlook Integration

Note: Windows XP when used as a server limits the number of concurrent users to 10.

Database Server

• Comes with and uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or SQL Express 2005:
• Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition: Microsoft® Windows® XP Home (Service Pack 2), XP Professional (Service Pack 2), Window Server 2003 Standard Edition, Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, Server 2003 Web Edition, 2003 Small Business Server operating systems  (all Server 2003 need at least Service Pack 1)
• Using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition: Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 Standard Edition, Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, 2003 Small Business Server operating systems Enterprise Edition, Server 2003 Web Edition, 2003 Small Business Server operating systems (all Server 2003 need Service Pack 1). Microsoft Windows 2000 and earlier not supported.
• Minimum Pentium 4 (or equivalent) processor  We recommend (1) Pentium 4 - 2.8 Ghz + processor or Xeon Processor for every 20 concurrent users
• Minimum 512 MB RAM  We recommend 2 GB of RAM for every 20 concurrent users, then an additional 1 GB of RAM for each additional 10 users.
• Minimum 500 MB of available hard disk space that are at least serial -ATA drives.  We recommend SCSI or SAS drives in a RAID Configuration 0,1, or 5 configuration 
• CD-ROM drive
• SVGA (800x600) or higher resolution monitor
• 100 MB Ethernet connection with TCP/IP installed

 Palm OS® Minimum Device Requirements
